Literature Connections

My first thought when I heard "Literature Connections" was the whole theme of sin. Peyton committed a crime and then tried to run from it (he ran in his imagination but it still made me think of it). Eventually it caught up to him and he died, but this made me think of how we run from sin. We commit sin and we can try to run from it but eventually the consequences will catch up to us sooner or later.

  1. So true, Faith. Good connection.

  2. I agree. I didn't think about it, but it is so true. No matter how hard we try to run away from the consequences of sin, it always finds us in some way.

  3. Thoughtful connection! I didn’t catch that as I read, but sure enough, the story does compare with the way we run from sin.

  4. That's a great thought! I completely agree with that. No matter how far we run, consequences of sin will always catch up.
